This line relies on the experience of the BEV1 group in the study of recovery strategies in mining soils with severe pollution through the incorporation of wastes or agricultural by-products as soil conditioners to retain metals and to protect water.
It also incorporates the experience of the BV1 group in the use of different by-products in the immobilisation of different types of pollutants (heavy metals, nutrients, pesticides, emerging contaminants, etc…) in soils under cultivation and its impact in the conservation of the surface water quality.
The EQ11 group also takes part in this line in the recovery of soils affected by fires through the incorporation of natural compounds obtained through biotechnological procedures.
